SV Tengah: A Sustainable Round the World Sailing Trip
Hello!
Welcome to SV Tengah! We are Scott (American) and Mie (Danish), and we are currently on a sustainable around-the-world sailing mission in our Amel 54, with no set end date. We want to show you that choosing an alternative lifestyle and fulfilling your dreams is not only good for you, it can also be good for the planet!
We are geeks, – we both studied Economics – so through our travels over the seas we want to learn about environmental or social issues that we find along the way, and examine ways to do something about them. This might come in the form of organizing beach clean-ups throughout the world, learning about mealworm production or talking to a woman dedicated to reducing sexual violence in the Caribbean.
Our aim is to live a life as normal/close to how we lived it on land, but with fewer resources and more awareness of how we can make the world a better place. We are not about telling you how you should live your life, we simply have a wish to learn ourselves and hope you might find our findings interesting too. We do it all under a concept which we have called PEOPLE, PLANET, PLEASURE.
Oh, and then we have a lot of fun too, so you won’t be bored along the way!
