If you have tested positive for COVID-19:

Please keep a copy of your positive test result and share it with any other healthcare providers you might see during your illness. Knowing the first date of positivity is helpful for treatment and avoids a repeat test during hospitalization.

Diagnostic Testing vs. Antibody Testing: What’s the difference?

Diagnostic Testing is completed using a nasal swab and can confirm the following:

  • Whether you currently have the living virus in your system
  • Whether you are likely to be spreading it

Antibody testing is completed using a venous blood draw and can:

  • Help us understand who has likely been exposed to the virus
  • Give us information about whether antibodies protect us from getting the virus again
