April is finally here, and with it comes the launch of my latest novel, Burner, on April 16. The days leading up to the release of a new book are incredibly exciting but also a bit nervy for an author. As proud as I am of this book, there is a distinct sense of vulnerability that accompanies its widespread availability.
One of the ways I teach myself to become a better writer is by reading voraciously. The last three years, I have read an average of one novel per week, or 52 books per year.
Scientists have long agreed that our planet is notoriously uncooperative when it comes to being defined by science. As such, scientists occasionally rely on hacks when their theories don’t quite mesh with reality, and one of the greatest hacks of all time is today, February 29, known as Leap Day.
