Our research focuses on developing smart materials for 3D printing applications, elastic crystalline porous organic materials for energy and environmental related applications, and carbohydrate receptors for biological applications. The research scheme overlaps organic synthesis, crystal engineering, polymer synthesis, materials characterization, and 3D printing, with an emphasis on the design of supramolecular materials that are noncovalently assembled.
For perspective graduate students and postdocs: The Ke group has moved to Washington University in St. Louis in January 2024. Link Perspective graduate students: We plan to take 4 graduate students in the fall 2024. Please apply through the WashU chemistry graduate program: link We no longer take graduate students from Dartmouth Chemistry Program. Postdocs: We have 2 postdoc openings in our group. One in the area of 3D printing supramolecular polymers (anionic polymerization experience strongly preferred). Another opening in the area of interfacial polymerization (experience working with Langmuir Blodgett Trough is preferred). Please reach out to Chenfeng via email: cke@wustl.edu
