What is Junior Achievement?

Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan (JASEM) has been serving youth, ages 5-25 in this region since 1949. Programs are delivered by corporate volunteers, community-based organizations, and educators. Lessons align with State of Michigan educational standards and are designed to provide relevant experiences and knowledge needed for vocational and personal success. Junior Achievement firmly believes in the power and influence caring adults can provide to the youth we serve.

JASEM’s student participants reflect the rich tapestry of Michigan. JASEM proudly serves the 10-county region known as Southeastern Michigan. This territory includes the counties of Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne.

We’re proud to announce that JA Worldwide has been nominated for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize, our third nomination in three years. Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan is a member of JA Worldwide. {Click Here to learn more about this incredible accomplishment.}
