MEET KATE
Kate is the Founder of CherishedLA. A survivor of Human Trafficking, Kate spent a decade in the commercial sex industry after being sold by someone she trusted. Kate has now found freedom and healing. She started CherishedLA to support other survivors who were like herself and needed to find a way out. Kate has spent the last 10 years as a voice in the anti -trafficking movement.
OUR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM GIVES WOMEN THE SPACE AND TOOLS THEY NEED TO HEAL
AND TAKES NOTHING FROM THEM
We provide a home for 2 years rent-free, offering the time and support needed to recover from childhood abuse or loss, and to fully understand the role this plays in trafficking, prostitution, stripping, and addiction.
This environment is based on a community-living model, helping residents live in recovery with honesty and self-sufficiency.
This fosters self-understanding through personal and spiritual growth.
We provide educational and vocational opportunities, offering opportunities to work towards economic self-sufficiency at Cherished LA.
