Welcome to the website of the Blofield and District Gardening Club. If you live in Blofield in Norfolk or one of the surrounding areas and have an interest in gardening then this is the club for you. We meet once a month on the second Wednesday of the month for a presentation on some aspect of gardening provided by good quality speakers. These meetings are also an opportunity to socialise with other members with similar interests, to gain advice on gardening matters and to compete with other members in our monthly competition. We have also arranged discounts at local gardening suppliers. Why not join us at one of our meetings to try us out.
Plant Sale and Coffee Morning
We will be holding a Plant Sale and Coffee Morning on Saturday, 11th May between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm at Blofield Church, Church Road, Blofield NR13 4NA. Do come along – plenty of good plants for sale at very reasonable prices. Profits from plant sales will benefit the Blofield & District Gardening Club funds and those from the refreshments will go to the Blofield Church fund.
Next Club Meeting
Would you like to learn a little more about “Allotment and Vegetable Growing”? Well known local horticulturalist Martyn Davey will be encouraging us by giving this talk at the Margaret Harker Hall on Wednesday evening, 8th May (7:30 pm). Guests are invited to come along to see what happens at Club meetings (£2:50) and new members will be warmly welcomed (£10 fee for the whole year.) Refreshments and a raffle are held. The members’ competition is: “A home-grown vegetable”.
Summer Show 2024
Our Summer Show for 2024 will be at the Margaret Harker Hall , Blofield on Saturday 13th July at 2pm. More details will be posted about this event soon.
