I am an Author, Freelance Editor, and University Professor.

I have a PhD in Creative Writing from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK. I don’t live in the UK, though—I live in Kansas with my husband, Chris, and two children: Fox and Willow (my daughter we adopted from Japan). When I’m not writing, editing, and teaching I love to exercise, travel (particularly internationally), and read. I am an otaku about everything Japanese.

University Instructor: I have been teaching associate, bachelor, and master’s level university courses for over 14 years, in a variety of subjects ranging from Creative Writing and English Comp to Multinational Management and the Psychology of Humor. I hold a B.A. in Psychology, a Master of Liberal Arts (with concentrations in the Creative Arts and Social Science), a M.A. in International Relations, and a PhD in Creative Writing.
