2024 High School Essay Writing Contest: The Year of the Change Agent!
The Anne Arundel Alliance of Black School Educators (AAABSE) is pleased to announce its 2024 High School Essay Writing Contest: The Year of the Change Agent!
Participants in grades 9 – 12 must write an essay, with a minimum of 500 words, in response to one of the following prompts.
Discuss a current global issue that you are passionate about and propose potential solutions or actions to address it.
Explain how you plan to use your education to make a positive impact in your community or the world. What role does diversity, equity, and inclusion play in your educational experience, and how do you promote it?
Each essay must be double-spaced, typed in a 12pt. font, and submitted as a Word document or pdf file. The deadline for submissions is April 24, 2024. Cash prizes will be awarded for the winning essays!!! Winners will also be recognized at the AAABSE End of the Year Banquet held on Saturday, May 4th.
