Teachers Driving Success is a monthly teacher appreciation program sponsored by SBISD Good Neighbor and partner Sterling McCall Group, which recognizes classroom teachers and their efforts to help students prosper.
Each month, principals are invited to nominate one classroom teacher from their campus for the way in which they are driving success. The Community Engagement team conducts a monthly lottery drawing from nominations received to choose the Teachers Driving Success award winner.
We thank Sterling McCall Group for their sustained support of our educators! Learn more about the Teachers Driving Success program.

Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD), through its Family E3 Program, recently hosted its annual educational tour for Title I Parent Advisory Council (PAC) families.
Supported by the Family E3 team, this immersive experience aimed to connect families with various community and district activities, fostering stronger bonds between school, home and the larger community. While last year's tour delved into the Houston Museum of Fine Art, this year's focus was on college exploration, with Rice University's campus serving as the backdrop for learning and discovery.
Twenty-four families eagerly embarked on the tour, drawn by Rice University's esteemed academic standing and captivating scenery. The decision to choose Rice as the tour destination was guided by feedback from parents, revealing their strong interest in exploring college options and educational paths.
This intentional selection underscores SBISD's commitment to portraying families as indispensable partners in their children's academic journey.
"We firmly believe that families play a pivotal role in shaping their child's education," said Linda Buchman, Associate Superintendent of Communications and Community Engagement. "Their active involvement can profoundly influence their child's learning trajectory."
Event organizers meticulously crafted the day to ensure that every parent departed with the motivation to support their child's aspirations. From exploring campus facilities to visiting the library, museum, Moody Center for the Arts, and enjoying public art on campus, the trip offered something for everyone.
Beyond being a mere tour, the day was a reminder to all parents to become actively engaged members of their school community. SBISD urges parents to contribute to their child's education through event attendance, volunteering, and staying informed. View photos from the day here.
