If you have ever been to the Davis High School Ski Swap, you’ll know what to expect.  At the CCE Bike Swap you can:

This is a fun and affordable way for growing kids to get the next size bike.  For those donating or selling bikes, you can free up garage space while supporting your school!  Both adult and kid size bikes and accessories (such as bike trailers) are accepted!  Donated bikes/accessories and 25% commissions are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.

Drop-Off Days Saturday, April 13 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm or Sunday, April 14 before 9:00 am

Drop off your bike or accessory for consignment and/or donation the day before the Bike Swap on Saturday, April 13 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm.

Bike Swap find your perfect bike or accessory on Sunday, April 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  (rain or shine)

Where? the CCE parking lot at 1221 Anderson Road, Davis, CA 95616

Can You Help?

To keep the swap running smoothly, we need help with the intake of donated bikes, bike sales, cashiering, and monitoring the "test track" (no knowledge of bikes necessary for most of these tasks).  We also need help from "bike smart" folks to help answer bike questions for shoppers or "bike mechanic smarts" to help tweak donated bikes.  You can help on Saturday and/or Sunday, AND bring your student along to help too!  Shifts are generally 3 or 4 hours.  Sign up to volunteer here.

If you have ideas, suggestions, questions or can help in any way, please contact davisbikeswap@gmail.com.

ALL Davis schools can make the Bike Swap a fundraiser for their school!

How?  Advertise widely that your school will receive 75% of the sales price of all donated bikes from your school and have one representative for your school volunteer.   Then, just have families bring kids and adult bikes, biking equipment, bike trailers, etc. in good working condition down to the CCE Bike Swap during designated drop off times and note your school name on the paperwork.  All donated bikes are tax-deductible!

To find out more about how your school can participate in this fundraiser, please contact davisbikeswap@gmail.com.

2023 BIKE SWAP RECAP

RESULTS ARE IN!

10th Annual Bike Swap—over $14,500 raised!

Our CCE Bike Swap had another record-breaking, successful year bringing in just over $13,000 for SIPAT programs plus another $1,700 for participating schools. This is a $3,000 increase from last year! We sold over 350 bikes and bike-related items—most within the first two hours (100 more than we sold last year!) Very exciting and busy!

A HUGE thank you to all the CCE families that came out to help!!  It takes a village to pull this off every year - but it is well worth the effort!!

Not only is this a great fundraiser for CCE but it has become an established annual community event with other Davis schools becoming involved to make this a fundraiser for their school too, local bike shops offering tune-up discounts for bikes purchased at the CCE Swap, community groups such as the City of Davis Safe Routes to School Coordinator providing bike registration into the Davis Bike Index Program at the CCE Swap, Golden Valley 4H Club for making this an annual community service event for their members, and Davis Bike Campaign sharing info about community bike rides and services they offer.  PLUS many in the community look forward to this event every year just to see what interesting bikes show up!

Important to acknowledge the CCE families that helped make this year's event happen—some have actually helped for several years!!

We're definitely missing some people, so please forgive the oversight!  There also were families that came by to donate or consign a bike, saw how busy we were, and stayed around to help.

Thank you!!!

We hope to keep this event "rolling" for years to come.  But leaving the CCE community does not mean you can't be involved!  In fact, many alumni parents AND students continue to help EVERY year even though they have long since moved on. And several folks mentioned that they came from out of town just for the swap. Yes—it is that fun of an event!
