stream Child Bite's 'Blow Off The Omens' title track (ft. Chewy from Voivod)

Child Bite vocalist Shawn Knight already released the debut album by his grindcore supergroup Shock Narcotic earlier this year, then Child Bite put out a split with Brain Tentacles, and now Child Bite are gearing up to release their new Steve Albini-recorded album Blow Off The Omens on November 22 via Housecore Records (pre-order physical or digital). We recently posted lead single “Vexxed Life,” and now we’re premiering the title track. This one features Voivod guitarist Chewy, who says:

Child Bite is one of those rare acts that grasped my attention immediately with their strange music, great stage presence and originality. When they invited me to play a solo on one of their songs I accepted right away and was honored to have been asked. They are the kind of band that makes me feel ‘I wish I wrote something like that.’ One-of-a-kind, true, sincere and a mind-opener.

That’s a good description of the band on this new song, which closes the album and kinda sounds like Pere Ubu and The Jesus Lizard had a baby. It’s as loud and noisy and weird as you’d hope for from Child Bite, and you can stream it in all its grimy glory below.

As mentioned, Child Bite are also touring with Black Tusk, including a Brooklyn show on November 14 at Saint Vitus with local support from Somnuri (tickets). All dates are listed below.
