She’s your oldest friend and you tell each other everything. So you’d know if she’d done something terrible, wouldn’t you?

Maddie and Kiara have been best friends since they met on their first day at university. They have always shared everything with each other--everything except one big secret, which Kiara knows would tear them apart….

When the police knock on Maddie’s front door as she and husband Nick are getting ready for the morning school run, she’s not expecting to hear what they have to tell her.

Kiara is dead.

And when Kiara’s death is ruled as suicide, Maddie can’t believe it. She knew everything about her best friend, didn’t she?

Walking into the plush apartment Kiara only recently moved into, Maddie soon discovers that her best friend’s life wasn’t as happy as she thought. Is that blood on the kitchen floor? And why didn’t Kiara tell her about secret meetings with a man Maddie knows well?

What Maddie learns next has her questioning who her best friend really was. And now she’s discovered Kiara’s web of lies, could her own life be in danger?

Clever! Complexellent! Compelling!

Brilliant British narration by Tamsin Kennard is the reason I bought this one and, for that, I thank her. A new author to me, Sheryl Browne, pens an captivating and intricate whodunnit. I’ll be adding her to my preferred authors; I’m on the search for more by these two talented and accomplished women. Searching by narrator has taught me that I can indeed find a lot of hidden gems. From the very start, I was hooked and consumed by this absorbing and provocative audiction. Kennard, as always, shines through with her constant spot-on performance. She presents each and every character with pitch-perfect precision. Subplots galore, jaw-dropping surprises around every corner and so much more. Listen intently, no multitasking here.Just when I thought I did have whodunnit figured out {{{did I?}}}, there’s a missing person’s case to solve and that kept me up ‘til the early morning hours. Deliciously devious! Well worth a cherished credit. Here I go again. I’m screaming from the rooftop, “Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”

Great read!

Fresh take on a similar story line. Kept my interest the whole way through! Some parts could have been shorter though. Definitely recommend

Thought Provoking

"Do I Really Know You" is a thought-provoking read that explores the complexities of human relationships and the secrets that can lurk beneath the surface. The story is well-crafted, and the characters are relatable, making it an engaging and enjoyable experience.

The author skillfully delves into themes of trust, deception, and the blurred lines between reality and perception. The narrative unfolds at a steady pace, drawing you into the lives of the characters and their interconnected stories.

I'm giving this book four stars because, while it is undeniably captivating, there were moments when the plot felt somewhat predictable, and some of the character development could have been more nuanced. Additionally, the resolution of certain storylines left me wanting a bit more closure.

Nevertheless, "Do I Really Know You" is a solid choice for readers who appreciate a well-written psychological thriller that keeps you guessing. It offers a compelling exploration of the human psyche and the complexities of trust and betrayal. Despite its minor flaws, it's a book that will leave you pondering its themes long after you've finished reading.

So so

There was nothing really wrong with the book, it just didn’t really excite me that much. I’ve had this problem with most books I’ve listened to recently. I just felt like not much was going on, I thought it was very predictable and I also really wanted to know why these people didn’t have more than 3 friends for their whole lives. I did like the style it was written in, in that different chapters were different characters perspectives. I think it just could have been better maybe if there were more characters or if it was a little less predictable.

The narrator was the best part…

Had high hopes, there were lots of positive reviews, but I just didn’t really love it…. I am recovering from surgery so really listening to a lot of books and podcasts. This one was mediocre at best. The writing style was good, narration was good, but the plot was boring and predictable

Really good!

Great domestic thriller. Good plot, good character development, good mystery. Really didn't know for most of the book who done it. I finished in two days. The narration was good except I wish the male voices had been by a male. Voices put a picture in your mind and the voices for the men made the men sound unattractive and slow or dumb.
