Anti-Racism Resources

Anti-Racism Resources

Renetta Garrison Tull

A Message from Vice Chancellor Tull

A culmination of many stressors, including ongoing racism leading to the disproportionate loss of lives of people of color across America, has left our community traumatized and seeking answers. At UC Davis, we affirm our support for Black lives, acknowledge racism and connect with a shared commitment to address it. The office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion has created this website with resources to support our community as we continue to find ways to build and strengthen our diverse culture at UC Davis.

In these pages you will find guidance for units and individuals to take anti-racism action, find and read anti-racism voices that can serve as models for anti-racist action plans at the local level, and many other useful resources for education and action.

  • Resources for Thinking and Acting. Organizations, reports, scholarships, institutional models, and mental health and healing supports.
  • Guidance from Campus Leadership. Statements and guidance from leaders across campus.
  • Anti-Racism Voices. Ally statements and stories from students and others.
  • Anti-Racism Syllabus. In the 2020-22 academic years, many departments and centers across campus UC Davis responded to the call to address racism by facilitating opportunities for professional development. This syllabus documents that programming.

Being an ally requires being an anti-racist, so we have developed 11 suggested actions toward anti-racism in the office and on your own. These are tangible actions that anyone can incorporate today toward a better future.
