A Snowflake Wish

Rate this book
If there was one thing January Douglas disliked more than spilling coffee on her favorite blouse, it was Christmas. Despite her family’s love of the holiday, she was a self-proclaimed Scrooge. The songs, the decorations, and the forced cheer - they were all nails scratching down a chalkboard to her.

When Deckard Spruce barged into her life with his Christmas enthusiasm and a smirk that made January weak in the knees, she’d had enough.

One wish on a snowflake was all it took to change everything, but as soon as the damage was done, she knew her hate for the holidays had gone too far.

Could Deckard help her realize that she might not hate Christmas after all?

Maybe one more wish would make everything right.

What a fun holiday read!
January is a newspaper reporter who hates Christmas. When I say hate, that's putting it mildly. She goes into a store to find the perfect ornament for her parents tree. A tradition that her family does every year. While there, she meets Deckard a Dentist who is helping his grandparents in their shop. When January finds a magical wish making ornament, she wishes Christmas never existed. When she wakes the next day, she finds her wish was granted....

You will love this story, and you will fall in love with January and Deckard

An Amazing Christmas Love Story.

This review to you might be considered a SPOIL ALERT, Don't read any further.
Wow, what can happen with a wish?

January Douglas hates Christmas and all that it is about. She is a major Bah- Humbug.
January and her friend Samantha goes to a shop to get her parents an ornament. It is almost a
family tradition.

There at his grandparents shop, Deckard is helping them at the store for a while. That is where January and Deckard meet. Instant CHEMISTRY, electricity, and SPARK.

Deckard engraves the ornament for January. He delivers it to her.
Deckard insists she goes out with him.

Relationships are hard for January with her family, friends, and boyfriends.

A snowflake ornament was in the box with her parents present. To the owner of it, a paper said
"make a wish."

What can come from a Wish?
They always say- " the grass is always greener on the other side."

Wow, see for yourself what happens.

Deckard stands behind her. He is the calming force for her. He believes in her and helps her
however he can.

This book has it ALL! The characters are interesting and enjoyable. I really enjoyed the
relationship that January and Deckard have.

It had an original take on a Christmas theme.

Just BELIEVE in Love, Christmas spirit, and relationships.
Read it for yourself!
Renee - you did it again!

This book was so adorable!!! I'm not usually one go get overly excited for the holidays, but this has such a pure, unbridled love and passion between our two main characters, and of course the love for the Christmas season! This was the perfect romance to get you ready for all things Christmas! :)

We have our heroine, January, who is a real Scrooge Mcduff regarding the holiday season. Her entire family and town go all overboard to celebrate the best time of year, but she just wishes she would never have to celebrate the season.

January meets Deckard, who is lending a helping hand to his grandparents during the holidays, and is the epitome of holiday cheer.. which of course is everything she hates. Yet there's still something about him that makes her melt!

When January makes a wish on a snowflake to make the universe act like Christmas never existed, will she be able to fix her mistake? And will the man who always believes in her make her a believer of what Christmas is all about?

This book was just so, so sweet and had a twist I didn't see coming! It was just like a hallmark movie and who doesn't love those during this time of year? If you're wanting an adorable read that will get you in the mood to celebrate all your blessings, this is the book for you!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

January hates all things Christmas and for awhile you can't really understand why. Her and Samantha went to buy her parents a ornament cause she waited til the last minute and she meets Deckard by chance. Early on you can tell he wants to get to know her early on he asks her out she denies him. When January actually opens up to him I knew they were both finally clicking and on the same page. When January makes a wish to get rid of Christmas you almost wonder what can really happen. Deckard stands behind her the whole time and really doesn't even question her. The ending is super sweet and fun!

This was my favorite holiday story that I read this year. It was perfectly steamy and sweet. It was a little like a Hallmark movie but I loved it.

Oh Deckard Spruce 😍, yes please! He is perfect, no BS completely perfect. I mean the guy comes to a small town to help his grandparents during the holidays. He believes January when she confides in him, he is so swoony. Plus he is hot as hell.
-
Oh January, you just can’t help but feel for her. She carries a lot of hurt around that she doesn’t quite know what to do with. She really is just a girl who needs someone to lean on and confide in, her pain has made her jaded which is something that Deckard is able to help heal. 💕

This story is so cute, I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t what I expected but I was not disappointed at all. Renee is so talented and I am so glad I got to read a copy of this and share it with all of you.

I love the Christmas holiday. Family, food, and it's one of those times I feel at peace. This isn't really one of those stories...at first. January is a female Scrooge and everything about the holiday annoys her. This is a slightly different take on the Scrooge aspect, which was a pleasant surprise. Now Deckard, he's perfect...at least to me. He's smitten, but he can read January, and while he doesn't agree, he understands her ways. I love how sweet and attentive he is...swoon. The book seemed to be a slow burn, but only took the course of about 2 weeks, so it was a fast slow burn? I love the idea of missing something when it's gone and trying to recreate it to make those around you happy. I love the whole concept, and it'd make a great sweet romance movie.

This holiday story wasn't what I was expecting - but I definitely enjoyed it. January hates Christmas -for some fairly solid reasons, once you find out why - and she wants nothing more than to live a Christmas-free life. Even when Christmas-loving, super gorgeous Deckard comes into her life, she still hates Christmas. I wasn't expecting the twist that came in, or the course that the book took, but that's what made this book a different holiday read that I loved. Watching January find herself, and her love of the holiday season, again made me smile. Watching her and Deckard fall for each other made me swoon. If you're looking for a different, but wonderful, holiday read, this is it!

A lonely young woman, disillusioned with Christmas, meets a handsome dentist who is moonlighting as a holiday elf at his grandparents store. He is enamored with her, but she is oblivious to his charms and wants nothing to do with his cheerful attitude.

January finally gave in to Deckard and agreed to have dinner with him. She could see herself falling for him, but he was only in town for a short while, and she couldn’t handle long distance relationships. As she was decorating her tree she found a beautiful star with a mysterious note attached, asking the owner to make a wish, so she did. When she awoke the next morning, life as she knew it had changed and she regretted making that fateful wish. As January accepted her fate she realized that there were many things she did like about Christmas. Memories of Christmas’s past and the loving time she spent with her family swirled around her mind, making her dizzy and confused. She remembered how much fun she had picking out the Christmas tree, wrapping presents and baking cookies. Sharing her memories with Deckard made her feel as if she could take a chance on love, and not turn her back on a good man. The holiday season is filled with hope, wonder and starlit skies. January just had to believe in herself to make her true Christmas wish come true.

If you are looking for a great holiday read, you need to add this one to your list.

January hates Christmas. She loves winter, but Christmas - not so much. Deckard is in town for the holidays to help his grandparents out in their store. When they meet, the attraction is instant, but she's not interested in dating. He'll be leaving soon anyway.

When a wish on a snowflake ornament changes everything January thought she knew, loved, and hated, she is forced to look at her life and the life of her family differently.

Make sure to grab this book. Deckard has probably become my favorite of Renee's characters.

A heartfelt story of how the magic of Christmas can warm even the coldest of hearts! I loved Harless’s twists in this beautiful story and it’s one that will shock and entertain you this season! I absolutely loved the characters in this book and I can’t wait for you to meet them!

The Snowflake Wish a story that will have you smiling and falling further in love with this amazing holiday and it shows just how much the spirit of Christmas truly means! The angst, the love and the laughs will have you hooked and before you know it you’ll have consumed every word and want more! I know I definitely want more of Deckard!

A beautiful and heartwarming Christmas story! January hated Christmas for a variety of reasons, but one simple wish, and a handsome stranger change her life in a way she never expected. Will the wish change January's opinions on Christmas? Is she meant to be with Deckard? This is the first book I have read by Renee Harless and I really enjoyed it.

"My grandma used to tell us to make a wish on the first star we found in the sky. And you don't know how many days since meeting you that I wished that I could give you everything that you love. Almost every day for the last ten days."
"You really did that for me?"
"Every day. You're worth every wish I could possibly have granted."

This was such a cute Christmas love story!

Meet January Douglas. Self-proclaimed Bah-humbugger, Christmas just rubs her the wrong way. All of it. It's only brought her heartache and insecurities. But, one man, with eggnog running through his veins, who both irritates her and makes her melt like a snowman, might be her undoing. When a wish whispered on a snowflake changes everything, can she undo what she's done? They always say you never know what you've got until its gone and January is about to find out how true that is.

Meet Deckard Spruce. A fan of Christmas and all that comes with it, just met the most beautiful Scrooge he's ever seen. Instantly drawn to her, he'll try his best to help her find her Christmas spirit. When she tells him about her snowflake wish, he'll do whatever it takes to make it right again. But can he? Anything is possible at Christmas, right?

I really enjoyed this adorable story, and I know you will too! Deckard and January are perfect together!

She is not in the Christmas spirit. She needs to go get an ornament for her parents. She happens upon a store that is 100 percent Christmas. She meets this handsome man who is the grandson of the owners. She receives a snowflake but the next day everything is changed. Jy was a great book and I loved the couple in this book.

January Douglas is my spirit animal, as she really dislikes Christmas, and actually proclaims herself a Scrooge. I'm completely down with this attitude, since I actually struggle every year during the holidays. Her family is all about it, which has her at a Christmas shop finding her parents an ornament since it's basically a family tradition. Deckard is at his grandparents shop helping out, when he comes face to face with January, and BAM! Sparks flying everywhere between the two of them. Like I mean, I swear they came out of my kindle, that's how intense those sparks were. He engraves the ornament, and delivers it to her, doing his best to make her go out with him. Now, relationships are even harder for January than Christmas, so there's some HUGE push & pull. There's also some Christmas magic sprinkled in, but I can't tell you the hows or whys of it, and that magic actually had my heart full with this Christmas story since I couldn't get enough of it. And that's a big deal, because I tend to stay away from Christmas stories, but this year, it seems like I just can't get enough! Anyway, at the end of the day, does Deckard get his girl?! You'll have to actually one click to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This was a sweet Christmas romance story. January has always hated everything about Christmas and is very Bah! Humbug. She meets Deckard while he is working at his grandparents’ store. They are immediately attracted to one another, but January has a fear of relationships, which leads her to push him away. Then January receives a snowflake ornament that leads to a Christmas wish. The aftereffects of January’s wish help her work through her dislike of Christmas and Deckard is there to support her along the way until she is able to rediscover the magic of Christmas. A Snowflake Wish will leave you asking where can I get a Deckard?

This was such a great heartfelt read! I love everything about Deckard he’s absolutely swoon worthy! And I’m not the only one who thinks so! January is definitely attracted to him but the fact that he’s just in town to help for the Christmas season means she can’t get to close because she doesn’t wanna get hurt.

Along the way a big oppsie happens! You’ll have to read to find out what it is and how they handle it. But I will tell you, I couldn’t put this book down. I have a busy life and I was picking this up every second I got to get words in where i could...

5 stars Renee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved every second of it ❤️

What can I say... pleasant twist on the Christmas Scrooge story.
January hates Christmas. Due to past Christmas mishaps, forgotten birthdays and Christmas overdoses... January believes that Christmas has ruined her life.
But is this the case. Thanks to a Christmas wish things change and maybe it isn’t everything that January wanted.
With Deckard’s help... January begins to see that Christmas may not have been the problem.
Sweet Christmas read

January hates everything about Christmas, everything her family and town loves about it. Enter Deckard, a dentist helping with his grandparents' store who loves the holidays. When she makes a wish that changes everything, with Deckard's help can January leave the past behind and move towards the wonderful things of the future? This story will have you laughing, crying and even getting a bit angry. It's everything a book should be, you will lose yourself in the town of Pineville.

A Snowflake Wish is a delightful story to read. If you're wanting to read a Christmas related story than I would highly recommend this.
January and Deckard are the main characters. January disliked Christmas but enjoyed the winter. Deckard came into her life and you'll have to read it to find out if he changed January's perspective of Christmas.

"Don't you sass your mama or I'll make your house look like the North Pole threw up there."

The writing was great, but the story itself wasn't my cup of tea. More like a made for tv movie idea...and I am not a fan of those. Or an adult Grinch.
Deckard was good if not a bit "just there", but January needed to get over herself. Lots of people have birthdays like that and deal with it. Same with the other event that seemed to shatter her. Grow up and get over it!
Lovely ending though ironic.
