Protecting laborers from the dangers of heat stress
The Korey Stringer Institute is led by world-renowned exertional heat illness expert and heat stroke survivor, Dr. Douglas Casa. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed publications/book chapters and presented more than 600 times on subjects related to heat safety and heat-related illnesses. Dr. Casa has successfully treated 325 cases of exertional heat stroke with 0 fatalities.
We are passionate industry leaders, subject matter experts, and researchers whose sole purpose is to eliminate heat- related injuries and illnesses in the workplace. The Heat Safety & Performance Coalition (HSPC) provides heat-safety research, education, and awareness and was created to help organizations develop and implement heat safety solutions to keep workers safe.
