FAQs

What’s a Dessert Dash?

A Dessert Dash is an auction – for dessert! It’s a fun way to have our cake while raising money for the school. There’ll be a display of delicious donated desserts. But… we’re asking attendees to make a donation in order to enjoy them! Guests at each table pool their donations to bid on one of the desserts from the Dessert Dash Table – each table has a Dessert Dash Bid Sheet, for you to list your contribution. Once all the bid sheets have been collected, the Master of Ceremonies will announce the highest table bid, and that table gets to pick their favorite dessert first, and so on, until every table has chosen a dessert. But it goes fast (hence “Dash”) – so it’s best to pick a runner for your table, and agree on your top choices ahead of time. For those with allergy concerns, allergens such as nuts, dairy, soy, gluten will be listed on the desserts.

We’re asking local bakeries and restaurants to support our dessert dash. We’re also hoping bakers in our fabulous school community will contribute donations, too. Want to donate a dessert? Contact us via fundraising@hazelwolfk8.org today!

How does Raise the Paddle work?

During the Raise the Paddle activity, our Master of Ceremonies will ask for different donations in varying amounts from the crowd. Guests raise their paddles or bid numbers to commit to a gift of that size. The gifts you choose and the timing of your paddle raise is up to you.

I have dietary preferences/restrictions. Will there be options for me?

Our appetizers will include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. The bánh mì sandwiches will be available in meat, vegetarian, and gluten-free (no bun) variations. Please get in touch via fundraising@hazelwolfk8.org before purchasing tickets if you have specific dietary and/or allergen restrictions.

What is the parking situation?

There is free parking at the venue. Once this is full, guests may use the parking across Bothell Way.

I can’t attend. Can I still make a donation?

Yes! You can make a donation to the Hazel Wolf K-8 PTSA at any time via this link. We so appreciate your consideration and generosity.
