About this ebook

He was too young for her.

A decade too young.

Rebecca Stravokraus was the top publicist in the professional sports. She was extremely smart, capable, and could spin a story like a spider spins its web.

But there was one thing she couldn’t do.

L.O.V.E.

Except…then Kevin declared that Rebecca was what he wanted.

That couldn’t be. Not now. Not ever.

But Kevin had decided on her and if there was one thing she’d learned about stubborn, alpha hockey players, it was that they didn’t give up.

And Rebecca had to admit that in this case she didn’t want him to.

4.5 Stars for Breakout This is the first book by this author and it certainly won’t be the last in fact I need to check out the previous books in the Gold Hockey Series. This may be book 6 in the series but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone although I’m sure like me you will be left wanting to pick up the previous books. This is an emotional read that will certainly tug at your heartstrings, it’s a romance that’s full of insecurities and vulnerability with characters you can’t help loving because this author’s writing makes it so easy to connect on so many different levels. This book will appeal to all romance lovers as well as lovers of sports romance. This is a well written entertaining read that ticked all my boxes, Rebecca and Kevin’s journey captivated from the first page to the last line and once I started there was no putting it down so please make sure you have time to finish what you start when you one click this entertaining must read. Looking forward to reading more from Elise Faber.

Elise Faber heats things up with Breakout (Gold Hockey #6). This is Kevin Hayes' and Rebecca Stravokraus' (PR Rebecca) story. I have been looking forward to their book. It lived up to my expectations. This novel takes place in San Francisco. It is suitable for adult readers. I enjoyed this story. Kevin is ten years younger than Rebecca. He has been incredibly patient in pursuing her. I appreciated that Kevin and Rebecca could relate to one another; they both lost loved ones. They had similar experiences. As a result, their age gap wasn’t such a big deal. Elise Faber does a great job with this book. The story is heartwarming and realistic. The hockey scenes are well executed. You could read this novel as a stand alone, but I suggest reading the previous books where Kevin and Rebecca are mentioned. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book.

Breakout is more than just a May/December romance. It is a journey of self discovery that tugs at your emotions. Faber delves deep into the insecurities that plague the human psyche. Through the eyes of Rebecca and Kevin, we learn what it means to be courageous, how it feels to be vulnerable and what it means to fall in love. From sensory overload to impactive emotion, Breakout is in a class all it's own.
