Anne Jerome Cobb

Anne Jerome Cobb's studio is located in White Stone, Virginia where she resides with her husband, Chris, and their two dogs, Harry and Scribble.

Anne is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists. She grew up in Atlanta and holds a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Upon moving to Washington, DC, she attended the Corcoran School of Art and studied portraiture under Danni Dawson at the Alexandria Art League. After attending studio sessions by contemporary portraitists Nelson Shanks, Henry Hensche, William Draper, and Everett Raymond Kinstler, Anne participated in exclusive workshops directed by renowned representational artist, Quang Ho, and portraitist, Michael Shane Neal.

Many great artists of the past have influenced Anne Jerome Cobb. She refers to the Old Masters as well as John Singer Sargent, Thomas Eakins, William Merritt Chase, and Cecilia Beaux.

Anne's compositions are confidently executed with joyful moments of color and texture. In addition, Anne often includes unique objects within a composition that represent the interests of her subjects.
